Ok, last time i promised to keep an steady flow of devs on my account, but it's harder than I thought initially, I'm sorry guys and girls. BUT, I am going to try and make an schedule, and post according to it. I am starting to get busy with school projects, the first exam is next week, so I think that if I have time to sleep in the afternoons nearly daily, I can save some time in the weekends to get my gears moving and show you my crap (though it will be mostly homework, shite
Anyway, I wanted to tell you some news: Two weeks ago I went to Barcelona -I come from Alicante, about six hours on bus- to el salon del manga
, one of the biggest comic, manga, anime and videogames cons here in Spain; they changed the exhibit site, and it's freaking huge
, you should have seen my face when I got there in thursday afternoon, gleeful isn't the best description, more like maniacally excited
. That day i went as Arale from Doctor Slump, and I had from the previous year a banner that said i was looking for the pink...
piece of shit
...and a girl on that costume was the fist thing i found when i got in XD i took a photo with her and all. That afternoon i got to meet my roomates for the time we would be there, and instead of ten people cramped in that narrow room, six were what was left for the night (Thanks, absent roomies, your beds made really useful shelves XDXD). I made some awesome friends, two twin sisters who took me the next morning with them to the exhibit, a somewhat difficult guy - i admit i am not easy to get along with either, but maaaan
- and some people from the adjacent room, a few girls and boys from Elche; The second day I went dressed as Toph from A:TLA, While one of the twins went as Terra from Final Fantasy and the other as a neko -her sister painted her really well-. My wig wheighted A TON and it was stiff from the sewing of the bun to the base wig TT_TT it hurt like a bitch during the first hour, after that i had to get used to it if i didn't want to tear my whole head off XD. When we got there the queue was so long we thought we would never get in, but we realized that it moved fairly quickly, and honestly, it was the best place to watch cosplayers XD I fell in love with a guy dressed as Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk
; seriously, awesome. We made a ton of pics and got finally inside, and spent most of the morning till noon looking at shiny, nerdy treasures and taking pics of cosplayers, so fun!.
To my surprise the girls had something planned around two pm, and we went up to one of the exposition rooms, where we got to meet Sol Pilas, the woman who sang most of the eighties anime openings here in spain, specially Glass No Kamen's. She was so sweet and funny, and she gave us her autograph, ungh, love. The afternoon was a blur of pics of cosplay, people asking me for pics (YAY! i have a fangirl, dressed as Harry Potter, i hope you had a good time the rest of the event!
), looking for presents for friends and family...whoa, and all that time nearly barefoot, whithout my glasses and with a fringe that ended nearly in the tip of my nose, it tickled XDXDD. One of the best things that day was that I got myself two signed-and-drawn tankoubons from two new genius comic artists, who recognized my cosplay and all
. that day i was like an squirrel on acid, seriously, i screeched and jumped aroud like daft the whole TEN HOURS
we where there XDXD. Finally we got out around half past eight, tired and with a load of bags full of things.
The next and last day we went with more people prom the other room, bought the tickets toghether...and got separated quickly XD it had to happen, really. Not much to tell from the last day, it was good, the girls had sore feet, i bought more things...and I got to see
in her winged cosplay! so cool...whe met up with some of the people from the other group all along the day and finally we got out of the Con toghether. God, we where tired
when we went to catch the return bus at twelve pm...
And that is
a big load of crappy recounting
If you read it all bless you, darling, so much patience XDXDD.
